Submissions Close 1st December 2026
DIGITAL ENTRIES
1st December 2026
Initial entry to the UKPPA is via digital submission, which MUST be received by midnight (GMT) on 1st December 2026
FINALISTS
1st January 2027
The finalists will be notified via email by 1st January 2027. A certificate to acknowledge your achievement will be attached, with an invitation to submit prints for the final judging
PRINT DEADLINE
27th January 2027
Finalists must submit their printed entries by 27th January 2027. The address and full instructions for print size will be on your finalist notification
LIVE JUDGING
5th February 2027
Live judging and feedback on the prints will take place in Stoke on 5th February 2026. Entry is free for everyone who has entered the competition, but places are limited!

the natural world
Flora, Fauna and animals photographed in their natural surroundings.
maternity, newborn & baby
Maternity and Babies up to 4 months of age
wedding
Images taken at a real wedding or civil partnership, on the day the register or equivalent is signed.
International
Images that would fit in the other categories but taken by a photographer who lives outside the UK and Ireland.Â
people
An image containing a person or people as the main subject.
pets
Pets and domesticated animals – from cats and dogs to horses and ferrets!
landscapes, pictorial and environmental
An image of our surrounding environment, including landscapes, sea, urban, astro, and architecture.

For everything else! Still life, sports and events, captive animals and more!
